The Blazers were born in Chapel Hill NC in the 1970s and performed in several incarnations over the years. They played a reunion show at the famous Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on January 3. The Blazers (at reunion) were Sherman Tate, vocals, guitar; Ronnie Taylor, drums; Joey Earth, bass; Jimmy Weaver, vocals, keyboards; Robin Woodard, vocals, guitar; Lee Gildersleeve, vocals, guitar; Parthenon Huxley, vocals, guitar; Mike Peele, saxophone; Dan Lee Gildersleeve, guitar; Ben Shaw, trumpet; Joshua, trombone; and Morgan Taylor, vocals.
