Survival of the baddest

This merlin grabbed a yellow-rumped warbler over the creek on October 30. Kitty saw him veer of his path to grab the startled warbler. It was one of our more uncommon visitors thinning the numbers of one of our most common winter visitors. He was NOT wasteful.
