The fishing business is far from dead in North Carolina, but it not nearly the muscle it once did. Visiting Pamlico Beach always feels a bit depressing as it is a place where old wooden fishing vessels often go to die. There is still fishing life there, but it is not the pulse of the area as in the past. I made this visit September 1, 2020.
