The Brick is a Norfolk Southern geometry train. Research Unit 33 and 34 contain instrumentation to track and record any track defects and their exact position. It made a run from Selma to Morehead City on September 3. Is is seen here on its return trip through New Bern. The track they ran is now being renewed.
