Sandhill Cranes

Seven sandhill cranes have spent much of the winter in Pocosin Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Each time I’ve seen them, they’ve been in the same location in the impoundment at the southwest corner of Pungo Lake. These photos were taken in early January.
